"Our attitude and application have both been really good recently"

Christian Walton says he is absolutely delighted with Town’s recent defensive record.

Shutout against Burton on Saturday means the Blues have now kept four consecutive clean sheets, while only conceding one goal in the last six games.

Preventing Cheltenham from finding the back of the net this evening would see Town equal the Club record of five clean sheets on the spin.

“As a collective we have been really pleased with our performances,” the shot-stopper said.

“We’ve probably not scored as many goals as we would have liked in previous games, but on Saturday we were excellent. We were strong all over the pitch and the defending starts from the front. Everyone is working hard for each other and I am delighted to be playing my part.

“At the back we have been consistent and we are developing a good understanding with each other. We have the competition for places as well, though, and there are good relationships throughout the group.

“Everyone here wants to put a shift in for the team and you can feel the collective effort. Our attitude and application have both been really good recently.”
