"The continued support really is appreciated by the whole team”

Town goalkeeper Christian Walton described the Club’s travelling support as ‘unbelievable.’

The Blues will be backed by around 7,000 of the Blue Army when they travel to MK Dons this afternoon, the second away match inside a week following Tuesday’s 1-0 victory at Doncaster.

Christian, who goes into the game with four clean sheets in 2022 already, says that he and the rest of the first-team squad are full of appreciation for the continued outstanding support.

"I think you would struggle to find 7,000 travelling fans in the Premier League,” the 26-year-old told the Club website. "I understand the allocation provided has allowed us to do that, but it’s Premier League quality.

"It’s unbelievable, especially as it’s not a short journey. It’s not only 20 minutes down the road; it’s a two-hour journey, and not a cheap outing.

"Week in, week out they continue to back us home and away. I say it all the time, but the continued support really is appreciated by the whole team."
