Wing-back on the weekend's game and impressive clean sheet run
Dom Thompson says that Town are not underestimating Morecambe but will once again be looking to dominate proceedings on Saturday.
The Blues have boasted the majority of possession in all 11 of Kieran McKenna's games in charge, with Dom starting in the last six of those after joining on loan from Brentford in the middle of January.
At the other end of the pitch, Town have equalled a Club record of five successive clean sheets, the deciding goal at Sheffield Wednesday being the only that the side have conceded in Dom's outings to date.
"We’re expecting a fight and a tough game, as we do with all the games we play," the wing-back told the Club website ahead of Saturday's game at Mazuma Stadium. "We never underestimate anyone.
"Tuesday [vs Cheltenham] was tough and it was definitely two points dropped.
"Of course, we still want to dominate and impose the way that we play. Hopefully we can dominate again, and then penetrate and find the back of the net this time.
"We had a good first half. We were getting closer to breaking them down and we maybe got a bit too eager and desperate, when we were fully in control."
Reflecting on Town's impressive defensive record in recent weeks, Dom added: "It was another clean sheet which makes it five in a row and it’s five since I’ve been here.
"It’s good to have that behind you. It’s one goal conceded in six so we’re looking to build on that and keep that number as low as possible."
