EARLY MORECAMBE TEAM NEWS

Update on midfielder and no fresh injury concerns for Morecambe match

Lee Evans' spell on the sidelines should be a matter of weeks rather than months, Kieran McKenna has confirmed.

The midfielder picked up a knee injury during Saturday's 3-0 win over Burton at Portman Road and subsequently missed Tuesday night's home fixture against Cheltenham.

While he will not be available for Saturday's trip to Morecambe, Lee's injury should not require a lengthy period of recovery.

"He’s seen the specialist during the week and thankfully there's no surgery needed," said Kieran.

"It’s a matter of weeks and not months but we’ve not put an exact date on it. We’ll see how he recovers over the next week or so.

"Everybody else is fighting to get fit and make their way onto the bus for Morecambe. There are no major issues after Tuesday."

Tickets for Town's trip to Morecambe remain on sale until midday tomorrow [Friday] here.
