"It was nice to get on the scoresheet and contribute to three points"
Kayden Jackson said a fast start was crucial against Burton Albion this afternoon.
The forward fired Town in front after just 43 seconds at Portman Road, with Kieran McKenna's side then adding two in the second half through Wes Burns and Kayden Jackson.
Three points means the Blues have won three of the last four games, without conceding a goal.
"It was nice to get on the scoresheet and contribute to three points," Kayden, who was making his 100th Town league appearance this afternoon, told iFollow Ipswich.
"It's another win and that keeps the momentum going. The gaffer had spoken to us about their threats, and said a fast start was key.
"The early goal gave us something to hold on to and also drew them out a bit further. Again the gaffer had told us to be positive, and we then thought the spaces would open up in the second half.
"We had multiple chances and could have had more, but we'll take 3-0 and hopefully carry it on Tuesday."
