"They have a multitude of different threats"
Kieran McKenna expects his side to come up against a confident and energetic Burton Albion outfit tomorrow afternoon at Portman Road.
The Brewers come into the game off the back of a 3-1 victory against in-form Bolton in midweek, all three goals coming in the space of seven first-half minutes in Staffordshire.
Town, meanwhile, will be looking to make it four successive wins on home soil and also extend their unbeaten run to the same tally.
"I expect a tough game," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich. "They had a really good win in midweek against Bolton and showed what they are about as a team.
"We expect them to come here full of energy and confidence from the game the other night - and to try and impose themselves and make it the type of game they want it to be.
"They had a fast, energetic and aggressive start to the game and they put Bolton under big pressure with their set plays, but also their ability to make you defend in and around your penalty box.
"On the night, Bolton weren’t able to stand up to that. It just shows in this division how quickly you can lose goals and you can lose points."
All three of Burton's goals against the Trotters at Pirelli Stadium stemmed from set pieces.
"They have a mixed threat," Town's boss continued.
"[Tom] Hamer has a really good long throw so it’s important not to give throw-ins away down that side then if we do, defend them as well as we can. They have good deliveries through [Joe] Powell most of the time as well.
"They have a multitude of different threats. We’ve prepared as well as we can. It’s always about attitude and mindset on the day to go and compete for the first ball then concentration for everyone to stay tuned into their jobs."
