Boss on win in South Yorkshire

Kieran McKenna said he was delighted with Town's display at Doncaster this evening, and that his side were good value for the win.

A first-half strike from Tyreeq Bakinson saw the Blues take the spoils at the Eco-Power Stadium, with the visitors enjoying 70% of possession and limiting Donny to just two shots in the entire game.

"I really enjoyed watching us tonight. There was a real confidence about us," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich.

"We had good runners off the ball and got into the spaces we wanted to.

"We stretched their backline and took the ball forward as well. The one negative of the night was that we didn't score more goals.

"I think the players are enjoying how we play, though, and I think the fans can see that coming through. Our work rate tonight was exceptional and when you have that, you have a stronger platform to get on the ball and take the game to them.

"It's a good performance and a good three points. Now we move on to Saturday."
