"We opened them up on quite a few occasions and got into really good areas"
Luke Woolfenden says the Town players are enjoying the 'freedom to express' themselves under Kieran McKenna.
The Blues enjoyed 70% possession on the way to three points at Doncaster last night, with Tyreeq Bakinson's first-half strike securing a 1-0 victory in South Yorkshire.
Shutout at the Eco-Power Stadium also means Town have kept five clean sheets from Kieran's eight games in charge.
"We probably made it more difficult for ourselves because we didn't take our chances, but it was a good performance," the centre-half told iFollow Ipswich.
"The pitch was a bit bobbly but we still tried to play and enforce our style on the game. We played high up the pitch and had plenty of the ball - I think we did well. There are always things to work on but it was a good win.
"We opened them up on quite a few occasions and got into really good areas. We were enjoying the game and that helps create more chances. There were some sloppy moments but it was fairly controlled.
"We're enjoying the opportunity to express ourselves and have a bit of freedom. I think it suits us because we like getting on the ball.
"I'm really enjoying myself and I am enjoying my football again. Last night was an important win and it gives us more confidence ahead of a tough game at MK Dons this weekend."
