Young Blues looking to maintain strong form

Town U23s are back in action this afternoon, facing up to Swansea City in a Professional Development League Two clash.

Kieron Dyer’s side will be looking to make it six wins from six following an impressive run of form, with kick-off at Playford Road at 1pm.

The young Blues were triumphant last time out against Watford, with Tyreece Simpson and Cameron Stewart (2), who are both set to feature this afternoon, on target against the Hornets.

Also set to start is Town’s newest goalkeeping addition, Nick Hayes, alongside Kane Vincent-Young, who has so far made 13 league appearances for Town’s first-team this season.

The young Swans, who have recorded four draws and one loss in their last five fixtures, currently occupy seventh place in the division.

Three points would be enough to take Town top of the PDL2 table, albeit temporarily as Cardiff, who currently sit in pole position, play tomorrow.

Live updates from this afternoon’s fixture will be posted on the Club's official Twitter account, with a match report following after the game.

Supporters are reminded that Academy fixtures at Playford Road remain behind closed doors until further notice.

Town: Hayes, Stewart, Baggott (C), Armin, Vincent-Young, El Mizouni, Humphreys, Smith, Chirewa, Hughes, Simpson.

Subs: White, Alexander, Curtis, Bello, Siziba.
