KVY | THE STYLE SUITS ME

24 January 2022

"AFC Wimbledon will be a tough place to go and we need to be right on the money to get the result we want"

Kane Vincent-Young said he was delighted to return to the starting XI against Accrington on Saturday, and is now looking to feature as much as possible until the end of the season.

The full-back was deployed at left wing-back, replacing Matt Penney who had a knock, and got into plenty of promising positions as Town ran out 2-1 winners at Portman Road.

"I enjoyed it on the left and it's not a role I am unfamiliar with," Kane told iFollow Ipswich.

"It was my first 90 minutes for a while and a good result, so a really good day.

"Once we got to grips with the physical side of the game, we managed to get the ball down and show our quality. It was good fun as we have an expansive style of play and I got the ball in attacking areas, which is great as that style suits me.

"Now my aim is to start and feature as much as possible. We're all feeling good after a win at the weekend but we can't be complacent. AFC Wimbledon will be a tough place to go and we need to be right on the money to get the result we want.

"I know we have another sold out away end, so I hope we can give our travelling fans something to smile about."
