"Bolton is a new game so we need to prepare well for that and show the attitude that we did at the weekend"
Kieran McKenna says Saturday's performance away to Gillingham is something to build on when Town visit Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.
The Blues head to Greater Manchester on the back of successive victories, with a particularly impressive display at MEMS Priestfield Stadium as Town ran out 4-0 winners - three of the strikes coming inside 23 minutes.
"When you look at the goals we scored, there were so many pleasing elements," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich.
"It's certainly a good base to build on, but this weekend's game will be a different challenge.
"There was a lot of man-to-man marking at Gillingham which opens up certain spaces and avenues, but Bolton is a new game so we need to prepare well for that and show the attitude that we did at the weekend.
"We're not going to get too ahead of ourselves as we are a long way off where we want to be and there are improvements to be made, but there was some good work going forward and plenty of good work defensively as well.
"There are a lot of games to play but something that is big for us so far is the clean sheets. They give us the foundation to go and win games and you can see in the team that we have multiple players that can score goals.
"The organisation and attitude has been great and I'm really pleased with the clean sheets. Now our focus is on Bolton."
Tickets for Saturday's clash with The Trotters, which kicks off at 3pm, remain on sale here.
