BOSS | WE'RE EXPECTING A DIFFERENT CHALLENGE

15 January 2022

"It’s up to us to deal with their threats and the things they’re good at, and then we have to impose our football on them"

Kieran McKenna says Town are prepared for a different threat and challenge against Bolton this afternoon, compared to what they faced against Gillingham seven days ago.

The Blues take on The Trotters at University of Bolton Stadium, with Kieran's side full of confidence having won their last two outings, scoring five and conceding none in the process.

Bolton, meanwhile, have lost their last four games.

"They press high up the pitch and will try to win the ball back quickly," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich.

"They’ll make it difficult for us to play our game. It will be a different style to Gillingham last week and a different challenge.

"It’s up to us to deal with their threats and the things they’re good at, and then we have to impose our football on them.

"We are not always going to play as well as we played at Gillingham, but we must show fundamental qualities as a team. Attitude and intensity are key."
