"It's a setback, but we will look at how we can improve and learn"

Kieran McKenna said Town were made to pay for their mistakes as Bolton beat the Blues 2-0 this afternoon.

Second-half strikes from Kieran Lee and Dapo Afolayan saw The Trotters take the spoils in what was otherwise a very even contest.

"It was obviously a disappointing day," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich.

"We came here to win but made costly mistakes, although we did do some good things in the game.

"I would say 2-0 was a harsh scoreline in terms of the balance of play and chances created, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

"In the last 15 minutes or so of the first half we were a bit stretched, but we fixed that and didn't have any issues in the second half really. We had the ball in their half a lot but didn't create enough.

"It's a setback, but we will look at how we can improve and learn, and make sure we are ready for Accrington next weekend."
