"I’m really pleased with his work-rate on the pitch"
Kieran McKenna has praised James Norwood's work rate and contribution to the team.
The Blues striker has scored four goals in his last four games, and picked up the PFA Vertu Motors League One Fans’ Player of the Month award for December.
"We're all really pleased for him," Kieran said.
"It's nice that he has been recognised with the award, but the main thing for me is the team, and James is buying into that.
"I’m really pleased with his work-rate on the pitch, and the way he has worked when we don't have the ball. He has shown a willingness to sacrifice himself at times, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
“He’s been the one able to score the goals but the rest of the team, including Macauley [Bonne] have been involved in some goals now and it's so important that they work for each other and create chances.
"Credit to the team for how they have supported James, and also credit to James for how he has supported the team."
