"We have a few lads that haven't been involved so much recently, but are now getting up to speed and are itching to get on the pitch"
Kieran McKenna says Town have prepared well for Saturday's trip to Bolton.
With no midweek fixture, the group have made the most of their time out on the training pitch, and head to University of Bolton Stadium with the wind in their sails following a stunning display at Gillingham last weekend.
"All the time we can get with the players right now is invaluable," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich.
"We're learning about them and they're learning about us. We have had a really good training week and the players have worked hard.
"There has been a focus on things both individually and tactically as a team, and things have gone well. It's good because we have a long journey ahead and a battle against Bolton ahead. We want to put the things we've been working on into practice on the pitch, like we did at Gillingham.
"There has been a good number training as well. We have a few lads that haven't been involved so much recently, but are now getting up to speed and are itching to get on the pitch.
"The players are confident and looking forward to the game, and we have to make sure we use that energy in a positive way. We want personality on the ball and plenty of hunger and aggression off the ball."
Tickets for Saturday's clash with The Trotters, which kicks off at 3pm, remain on sale here.
