"We've only had the one game so far, but Kieran was very calm beforehand and told us exactly what he wanted us to do"
Lee Evans said the group is enjoying the work they are doing with Town boss Kieran McKenna.
The Blues boss took charge late last month, and guided Town to a 1-0 victory over Wycombe in his first game in charge.
Following the postponement of the New Year's Day fixture against Lincoln, Kieran's side are next in action at MEMS Priestfield Stadium against Gillingham on Saturday.
"I think everyone thought the training sessions would be really good," Lee said.
"That's very much been the case. It's been very good and his coaching career speaks for itself. He's been at arguably the biggest club in the world for a number of years.
"The sessions are a little bit different. We do a lot more short, sharp stuff and hopefully that will help us with playing in tight spaces and showing that in games.
"We've only had the one game so far, but Kieran was very calm beforehand and told us exactly what he wanted us to do.
"He knew how the game was going to go. I'm really impressed and I think the lads have raised it up a level.
"Hopefully, with the games starting to kick back in, we can carry on from Wycombe and get on the run we need. We've done enough training now and it's about getting into the games."
