"We’re just looking forward to each game as it comes now"

Wes Burns said the Town team is full of confidence right now, and is also fully focused on building as much momentum as possible for the final 19 games of the season.

The Blues winger netted a brace at AFC Wimbledon last night, and has been in fine form for Kieran McKenna's first five games in charge of the Club, which have seen the Blues pick up 12 points.

"It's said a lot but it really is a case of each game as it comes," Wes, who now has eight goals for the season, said.

"I said in a previous interview that it’s all about us trying to catch that sixth spot at the moment. We’re going into every game just wanting to win, and wanting to improve on our previous performances.

"We weren't quite firing on all cylinders against AFC Wimbledon, but we kept a clean sheet and picked up all three points. I think we’re starting to show we can win in all types of manner.

"The result helps build our confidence, and we’re just looking forward to each game as it comes now.

"Saturday [away to Sheffield Wednesday] is a big game and will be a test. We need to impose our style on the match, and the objective is to get all three points.

"We'll have plenty of fans up there as well. I know we had a ropy start to the season, but hats off to the supporters, they’ve backed us all the way."

Tickets for Saturday's clash with The Owls remain on sale online and in Planet Blue, with 2,700 Town fans currently set to make the trip up to Hillsborough. For more information click here.
