Outdoor screen, presenter and ex-player interviews to look forward to for new campaign
The Club will be introducing a number of new improvements in the FanZone as it continues to seek to enhance the matchday experience for Town supporters.
Last season, attendances in the FanZone hit numbers as high as 4,500 supporters ahead of first-team fixtures at Portman Road.
A wider variety of food and refreshment offerings was amongst the improvements made during the course of the campaign, with the popularity of the FanZone being a big factor in the Blues being named as the EFL's Kin + Carta Family Club of the Year for 2021/22.
Supporters attending the FanZone ahead of Saturday's 2022/23 season opener against Bolton on Saturday will notice a number of further changes.
An outdoor screen will be in the FanZone for every fixture, following its popularity when introduced for Town's home game with Plymouth in March. The screen will broadcast the live lunchtime kick-off as well as showing Club content.
A FanZone presenter, Dave Vant, will also be introduced to help build the pre-match atmosphere further and inform supporters of any key information and updates.
Following a successful trial towards the back end of last season, there will be guest appearances from ex-Town players, who will react to the team news from Kieran McKenna's side and their opponents shortly after 2pm. Supporters in the FanZone on Saturday afternoon will hear from former Blue Carlos Edwards.
Entry to the FanZone is from midday this weekend, with more details about what's on in the FanZone before Town take on the Trotters available to see here.
