Blues to start the new season at Portman Road

Town will begin the 2022/23 League One campaign at home to Bolton on Saturday, 30 July.

The first away match of the season follows one week later, with Kieran McKenna’s side travelling to newly promoted Forest Green Rovers for a first ever meeting between the sides.

Boxing Day sees the Blues host Oxford United at Portman Road, with the other festive fixtures both being on the road at Portsmouth (Thursday, 29 December) and Lincoln (Sunday, 1 January).

Town’s final home game of 2022/23 is against Exeter in late April, seven days before a season finale away at Fleetwood.

Later today, the schedule will take further shape following the draws for the Papa Johns Trophy and Carabao Cup.

The Blues, Cambridge and Northampton will learn which of the eight Invited U21 sides will be joining them in Papa Johns Trophy Southern Group H at 11.30am.

Town will then be ball number 15 in the southern section of the Carabao Cup first round draw, which takes place at 2.30pm.

Both draws will be televised by Sky Sports.

Season tickets remain on sale at the Early Bird price here.
