17 June 2022

Supporters will be able to get their first look at the Club's bespoke owl on Sunday, 19 June which is part of St Elizabeth Hospice's Big Hoot owl trail.

The trail goes live on Sunday and the Club is pleased to be part of the launch event which starts at Christchurch Mansion.

The Big Hoot Ipswich 2022 is the third art trail brought to Ipswich by St Elizabeth Hospice in partnership with creative producers, Wild in Art, following the success of Pigs Gone Wild 2016 and Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk 2019. The trail also raises vital funds and awareness for St Elizabeth’s, who do extremely important work in improving the lives of those who are living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses.

The Big Hoot owls, which are all individually decorated by artists, will be on display in and around Ipswich up until the beginning of September, however it is the launch on Sunday that marks the Big Hoot’s 5k Hike, which costs £5 per participant and is the first chance to see all sculptures while taking part in plenty of fun activities along the trail.

Registration will be opening from 11am on Sunday outside Christchurch Mansion, with waves of participants being set off at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

The Club’s sponsored owl will be situated outside the Planet Blue Store on Portman Road, where mascots Bluey and Crazee will be on hand to help with selfie and colouring competitions, alongside handing out our exclusive Big Hoot 2022 stickers. Our cut out boards will also be on hand for younger fans to poke their heads through for photo opportunities as the next Wes Burns or Conor Chaplin!

We are looking forward to seeing as many people as possible taking part.
