Ipswich Town is deeply saddened to report the passing of Graham Apperley.

Graham, who was 64 and also involved with Suffolk FA as a Level 5 Senior County Referee, worked at the Club as a full-time security officer from July 2016 until December 2017.

He then became a matchday steward and regularly worked at the ticket collection point on Constantine Road ahead of fixtures at Portman Road, while also continuing as a casual member of the security department.

“Graham was a genuine guy who would never let anyone down," Head of Security Ian Rose said.

“He was a pleasure to work with and will be thoroughly missed by everyone who knew him.”

Everyone at Ipswich Town sends their sincere condolences to Graham's friends and family at this time.
