Seven friendly fixtures in store for young Blues

The Club's U23s will travel to Bury Town to compete for the Martin Swallow Challenge Trophy on Saturday, 16 July.

Bury won the inaugural Trophy last summer following a penalty shootout, with former Blue Carlos Edwards netting the decisive spot-kick at Ram Meadow.

The fixture honours acting Supporters Club chairman Martin, a loyal Town fan since 1981 and also a long-term volunteer at Bury, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Town U23s’ trip to Ram Meadow is the final of four local games to begin their pre-season campaign, with it following on from away matches at Coggeshall, Stowmarket Town and Leiston.

The young Blues will then face Hastings United in East Sussex before closing out their friendlies schedule against Fulham and Norwich City respectively at Playford Road.

Ticket details, where applicable, will be revealed in due course.
