Blues winger features for an hour on international debut

Wes Burns earned his first cap for Wales on Wednesday night.

The Town winger played 62 minutes as Wales were beaten 2-1 by Poland in a UEFA Nations League Group A match.

Former Blue Jonny Williams netted for Robert Page's side at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, before Jakub Kaminski and Karol Swiderski completed the comeback for the hosts.

Wes could feature for the Red Dragons again on Sunday, when Ukraine visit Cardiff for a FIFA World Cup play-off and a place at Qatar later this year.

Wales continue their Nations League campaign on 8 June at home to the Netherlands, also in the Welsh capital, before another home clash with Belgium on 11 June, and, finally, a meeting with Oranje, this time in Rotterdam, three days later.
