"He trusts me a lot and I trust’s been perfect for me"

Bersant Celina says that Kieran McKenna is exactly the kind of manager that he and the rest of the team need to work under.

Santi has featured, either from the start or as a substitute, in 12 of the last 13 games under Town's boss, who has now been in charge for 15 fixtures ahead of this weekend's trip to Oxford.

Ahead of taking on the U's at Kassam Stadium, the Kosovan spoke about Kieran's influence, the intensity of training and connecting with the supporters.

"The way we are working and the way we are training has been really good and I’m really happy," said Santi.

"I don’t think anyone works like we do. We bring the intensity that we have in training to the games and that's why we've been playing really well.

"It’s what the team needed and what I need - a manager like this. It’s been perfect for me. He wants us to play good football. He trusts me a lot and I trust him, too.

"I feel like we are connecting more with the fans. They are supporting us and we try to give back to them. I feel like they are enjoying the football that we’re playing.

"Playing at home in the last two games, we’ve had 25,000. It doesn’t happen for a lot of teams in League One and it just shows how big the Club is."
