"No-one is reinventing the wheel but it’s above what you normally see"

Cameron Burgess says that Town's attention to detail has contributed to the Club's impressive recent form.

The Blues are unbeaten in 11 matches having last fallen to defeat away to Sheffield Wednesday in January, with multiple players in the first-team squad highlighting that 'no stone is left unturned' in terms of preparation for each matchday.

Speaking in an interview for Saturday's matchday programme for the visit of Cambridge, the defender, who has featured in Town's last four games, said: "The boys are thriving from the system.

"There is no stone left unturned and it's plain to see that we're benefiting from it when you look at the performances and results recently. Everyone is enjoying it, including me.

"It’s been an enjoyable experience so far and hopefully we can stretch that out further. No-one is reinventing the wheel but it’s above what you normally see.

"The attention to detail and the intensity we work at day in, day out is more than a cut above I would say. It’s just on another level.

"We have a group of lads and a staff group that are hungry. Everyone involved in this football club from top to bottom has the ambition and drive to get to where we need to get to.

"Hopefully we can continue the strong form on Saturday. We're expecting a tough game against Cambridge as they are a hard-working group and they will bring energy to the occasion. It's about us matching that energy, going above and beyond, and sticking to what we have been doing well in recent matches."

Tickets for this weekend's clash with Cambridge United remain on sale here.
