Tractor Girls back in action on Sunday at 2pm

Town Women will look to extend their advantage at the top of the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division when they host Plymouth Argyle this weekend.

Similarly to when Town and Town Women played Plymouth away in October, this weekend will see a double header of fixtures as the Blues take on The Pilgrims at Portman Road on Saturday afternoon before the Goldstar Ground in Felixstowe plays host for the Tractor Girls' clash with Plymouth Argyle Ladies a day later.

Joe Sheehan's side bowed out of the Vitality Women's FA Cup following a 1-0 defeat to Women's Super League side West Ham United last Sunday, with a record 2,000 fans in attendance in Felixstowe, and will now switch their attention back to the league.

The Tractor Girls have a four-point lead at the top of the FAWNL Southern Premier Division table after 20 games heading into the weekend, with Oxford sat in second and Southampton third.

The U's have played the same number of games as Town, while the Saints, who are 10 points off top, have played four fewer fixtures.

When Sheehan's side faced Plymouth in October, goals from Paige Peake, Zoe Barratt, Natasha Thomas, Maddie Biggs and Lucy O'Brien saw the girls collect a comfortable three points with a 5-0 victory in Devon.
