"It's two teams that are playing well and two teams that are picking up points"

Kieran McKenna says the whole squad is looking forward to facing Portsmouth at Portman Road on Saturday afternoon.

Tomorrow's clash sees two of the in-form teams in the division go head-to-head, with both the Blues and Pompey eyeing a play-off position this season.

Town occupy ninth place in the League One table, with Danny Cowley's Portsmouth sat in 10th, two points behind.

"I think the squad is excited because they know Portsmouth are a good team in strong form, and we feel like we are also on a strong run. We're becoming a good team and the players want to test themselves.

"I'm really looking forward to the game as well. It's two teams that are playing well and two teams that are picking up points. It's a big game for both sides.

"We're very aware of what Portsmouth can do as a team and how they pose a threat. We are looking to counteract that and focus on ourselves, though. We're focusing on getting the performance right and if we do that, hopefully the result will take care of itself.

"We have done our preparation on the game but there are still nine games left. There are lots of points to play for, and nothing is going to be decided on Saturday.

"Our focus is on doing our jobs and executing the game plan."
