"We were in full control in the second half and I can't be disappointed in terms of the effort from the lads"
Kieran McKenna thought Town were the stronger team in today's goalless draw with Portsmouth at Portman Road.
The Blues gave it everything, but were unable to force the breakthrough and were forced to settle for a point.
"We're disappointed not to have won, because we were the better team," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich.
"It's been a challenging week, so I'm proud of the players for how they stuck at it and put in a strong performance in front of a great crowd.
"We created chances and kept going. To a man we pushed until the last second.
"Sam's [Morsy] injury is pretty much what it was, so we need to look at that. He trained yesterday and felt fine but then could feel something in the game as it flared up again.
"Kayden's is a significant hamstring injury and he will be a big loss. Hopefully he recovers as quickly as possible.
"We're frustrated to have drawn, but we were in full control in the second half and I can't be disappointed in terms of the effort from the lads, and in the performance there were definitely more positives than negatives."
