"Our running was good and I am delighted with the goals as we have been working on things like that"
Kieran McKenna thought his side were in full control as Town came away from Fleetwood with three points this afternoon.
Second-half strikes from Sam Morsy and Kayden Jackson saw the Blues run out 2-0 winners at Highbury Stadium, with the visitors on top for the vast majority of the contest.
"It's a really good result," Kieran told iFollow Ipswich.
"It was a difficult pitch to play our football on but we did it at times and controlled the game pretty well. It was difficult to create clear-cut chances because we needed the extra touch around the box, because of the pitch.
"We kept going, though, and kept playing. We kept playing our football and it paid off because we got the goals.
"Our running was good and I am delighted with the goals as we have been working on things like that. In training we have looked at the edge of the box and getting an extra man in there - we got our rewards for that.
"I'm really proud of the boys for their work and it is an excellent result."
