FOOTBALL STANDS TOGETHER

8 March 2022

Minute's applause before kick-off

Tomorrow's fixture with Lincoln City will see Town and The Imps come together in support of the people of Ukraine, and all those suffering from the ongoing conflict.

As a mark of solidarity, Town will wear all blue on the night, while The Imps will don their yellow third kit. The corner flags at Portman Road will be Ukraine flags, with a large flag also set to be displayed in the Cobbold Stand.

Kieran McKenna’s Blues and Michael Appleton’s Lincoln will also unite before the match at Portman Road, with a collective photo and display scheduled to take place shortly before kick-off.

The British Red Cross' Ukraine Crisis Appeal will be holding a collection outside and inside the ground, with all proceeds going directly to those suffering from the conflict in Ukraine. If you wish to make an online donation before, please click here.

Town's CEO Mark Ashton said: “Everyone at Ipswich Town is horrified by what is happening in Ukraine.

“We want to show our full support for the people of Ukraine, and to all those who are suffering from this terrible conflict.

“The British Red Cross will be collecting around Portman Road, with all money raised going directly to Ukraine, so please dig deep where possible."

In times of adversity, football stands together. We ask that all supporters attending Tuesday’s game show their support in whatever way they can.
