Three points at The Valley for Kieron Dyer's young Blues

Town U23s made it seven wins on the bounce with a convincing victory at Charlton this afternoon.

Cameron Humphreys and Harley Curtis both bagged a brace with Edwin Agbaje also on target in South-East London.

It took just 18 minutes for Kieron Dyer's side to move in front at The Valley as Humphreys found the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

Tommy Hughes, who had been denied by an impressive save from home 'keeper Nathan Harvey midway through the half, turned provider for the second goal three minutes before the break, teeing up Curtis to tap in from close range.

Curtis capitalised on a defensive error to notch his second of the match after the interval, with Dylan Gavin pulling one back for Charlton with just under 20 minutes remaining.

The young Blues finished with a flurry as Agbaje got in on the act after an initial shot had been saved before Humphreys coolly slotted past Harvey late on to complete his double and conclude the scoring.

Kieron Dyer's side return to PDL2 action on Tuesday, 22 March when they travel to Sheffield Wednesday.
