Road closure and car park information ahead of Stoke test
Supporters should be aware that the Portman Road entrance to the Portman Road C car park will close 15 minutes before the final whistle until 15 minutes after full-time for fixtures at Portman Road this season.
The alternate entrance/exit, on Friars Bridge Road remains unchanged. Supporters looking to exit the car park quickly are therefore encouraged to park at the rear of the car park and use that exit.
This new system will allow quicker and safer egress for fans leaving the stadium on foot.
Town's first Championship home match of the 2023/24 season is tomorrow when Stoke City travel to Suffolk.
Following suporter safety assessments during last season, and having liaised with the local authority, the Club will be introducing a traffic management plan for all home fixtures in the 2023/24 campaign.
This will include road closures on Sir Alf Ramsey Way and Portman Road. These roads are often busy with supporters accessing the Magnus Group West Stand and Sir Bobby Robson Stand (North) turnstiles, and therefore, to ensure safety of supporters, road closures will be in place from 90 minutes before kick-off until 30 minutes after the final whistle for first-team fixtures at Portman Road.
