Midfielder wins two awards
Jack Taylor’s match-winning display against Wolves recently has seen the Town midfielder win two awards.
Jack scored a spectacular winning goal to secure a 3-2 victory over the Premier League side last week, firing in from long-range to complete the Blues’ comeback from 2-0 down.
The strike has earned him the Carabao Cup Goal of the Round award, as voted by supporters, while his overall performance has also seen him named Player of the Round, following an excellent display in the third-round tie.
“I do like to shoot from that sort of range and will always back myself in those situations, so thankfully it flew into the top corner,” Jack said of his goal.
“I was obviously really pleased to score a goal like that but, more importantly, it helped the team win the game and get through to the next round.
“It was a really good performance from the whole team and to come back from 2-0 down showed real character, so I’m really happy to have won these awards as part of that.”
Jack’s strike against Wolves also saw him win the Club’s Goal of the Month award for September, polling more than 77% of the vote to beat Massimo Luongo’s winner against Blackburn into second place.
