Young duo Cieran Slicker and Dane Scarlett both won international caps last night.

Cieran earned his ninth cap for Scotland’s U21s in Spain, playing the full 90 minutes in Jaen as his side ultimately went down 1-0 in their Euro 2025 qualifier.

Elsewhere, Dane came off the bench to make his first appearance for England U21 in Luxembourg.

The striker, on-loan from Tottenham, came off the bench to play the final 27-minutes of his side’s 3-0 victory in their qualifying game. Liam Delap and Callum Doyle (both Manchester City) and new Chelsea signing Cole Palmer scored the goals for England.

Nathan Broadhead was hoping to win his sixth cap for Wales, but was an unused substitute as Robert Page’s side won 2-0 in Latvia.
