TICKET BALLOT FAQs
Who is eligible for the ballot?
Non-season ticket holding members from the 2023/24 season, who purchased a match ticket for one or more league fixtures at Portman Road in the 2023/24 campaign, will have the option to enter a ballot for home league matches in the 2024/25 season if their membership is renewed. This has been introduced to thank supporters from the 2023/24 season by giving them the first opportunity to potentially secure a match ticket for home league games in the 2024/25 season.
When does the ballot open?
We will announce when each ballot will be open, however the ballot for the first Premier League fixture against Liverpool on Saturday, 17 August 2024, will be available from Monday, 22 July at 10am. The ballot will close for entries on Tuesday, 23 July at 5pm.
How many tickets will be allocated via the ballot?
25% of available seats (available capacity at the time of ballot launch).
I am not sure if I can attend, should I enter the ballot?
Please only enter the Ballot if you can attend the fixture should you be successful.
Do I need to enter the ballot just once, or for each home league fixture?
Every home league match will be an individual ballot and you will have the option to enter those fixtures should you be able to attend on a match by match basis.
If I am unsuccessful in the ballot, will I still have the option to attempt to purchase?
If you are unsuccessful in the ballot, you will still be eligible to attempt to purchase in the remaining priority sales windows.
Do I have to enter the ballot as an individual, or can I enter the ballot as a group?
Eligible supporters will be able to enter the ballot in their desired groups. Assuming you enter the ballot with others, if you are successful, all of you that entered in the one transaction will be successful. A supporter is only eligible to enter their name into the Ballot once, others can use the Friends and Family option to enter on behalf of other eligible Supporters. Applications to the Ballot must be processed in the desired groups in one transaction.
If you wish to enter the Ballot as an individual, then you will need to enter just one Ballot entry as in an individual transaction.
If we are successful as a group, does this mean that we can purchase as a group?
If a group is successful, then everyone within that group will be given the necessary criteria ahead of the fixture to allow them to assign ownership and purchase those tickets together as a group.
If I enter the ballot as an individual, can I then purchase in a group?
If you enter the Ballot as an individual and are successful you will only be able to purchase for those who are successful, by entering as an individual, you run the risk of not all being successful individually. This would therefore stop you purchasing as a group as you would not all be successful.
Do I need to rush to enter the ballot first?
There is absolutely no rush to enter the Ballot within the allotted time, so long as you enter the ballot prior to the deadline, for example, for Liverpool this is Tuesday, 23 July at 5pm you will have just as much chance of being successful as someone who enters as soon as it opens.
I am eligible; however, the ballot is not showing?
You MUST be signed into an account that is eligible to enter the Ballot. If you do not, you will not see the Ballot event.
I am getting an error that says, ‘event has no Price List.’?
This is due to having something else in your basket when you attempt to enter the Ballot. You cannot have any other product (such as a home ticket/membership) in your basket at the stage you apply for the Ballot. Please ensure your basket is empty prior to proceeding.
If I am successful, how will you notify me?
We will notify all successful OWNERS rather than the lead booker. Each individual Supporter who has been successful will be notified. Please ensure you usually receive informative Club emails. You will not receive an email if you are unsuccessful.
I was successful in the Ballot; however I can no longer attend, what do I do?
You are the only person eligible to purchase and attend on that ticket. Therefore, please do not purchase and allow those tickets to reach the next priority level and allow more fellow supporters to attend in a fair manner.
I was successful in the ballot; however, did not purchase. Can I still obtain a ticket?
If you do not purchase within the dedicated window for those successful applicants, you will have the option to attempt to obtain a ticket during the next priority window with other now eligible supporters, however your ticket will no longer be guaranteed.
I have accessible needs; how will you cater for me within the ballot?
If you have accessible needs and we have that noted on our system. When you apply for the Ballot, you will be asked to provide details on what accessible seating requirements you need so that we can look to cater for your needs if you are successful.
