The Club can confirm the continuation of the resale platform introduced towards the end of the 2023/24 season.
The platform was launched with the aim of offering season ticket holders increased flexibility when they are unable to attend matches, increasing the opportunity for supporters to attend games and reducing the number of seats left empty for matches at Portman Road.
Following the initial trial, which ran over the last four home league matches of the 2023/24 season, the Club is pleased to announce its continuation, starting at the season-opening fixture against Liverpool on Saturday, 17 August
The resale platform will go live from 10am on Monday, 29 July, with tickets placed for resale then released at the Club’s discretion. The available seats will initially be available to those supporters who were previously eligible to purchase up to and including the stage at which the fixture sold out, with any further sales dates released in due course subject to availability.

Tickets can be placed on sale via the Club's ticketing website, with full details available in the below FAQs.
Supporters who place their season ticket up for sale and successfully sell their ticket to a fellow supporter will then receive a refund of the value of their season ticket for a single match (1/19 of the cost of their season ticket), minus a £1 administration fee, with payment to a nominated bank account following within 10 working days of the fixture.
Once a season ticket is listed for resale, supporters can delist their ticket from the platform should they subsequently decide they wish to attend the game. However, once a ticket is actually sold, the resale is unable to be cancelled and the season ticket holder would only be able to attend the game by purchasing a new ticket.
A full guide to the resale platform is available below, with supporters encouraged to contact the Ticket Office on 03330 050 503 or mainticketoffice@itfc.co.uk with any further questions.
TICKET RESALE FAQs
How it works
As a valued Season Ticket holder, your dedication and support for the team is truly appreciated. We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may prevent you from attending a match. To ensure you have flexibility and to offer other fans the opportunity to experience the game live, we are pleased to inform you that you have the option to put your Season Ticket seat(s) up for resale if you are unable to attend a match.
We encourage you to take advantage of this option if you find yourself unable to attend a game.
If a fellow supporter then purchases your seat for the game, you will receive 1/19th of the cost of the season ticket minus a £1 administration fee, back in the form of a refund. Your refund will be processed within 10 working days from the fixture date.
If my seat is sold, how much of a refund will I get?
If your seat is resold, you will receive 1/19th of the cost of the Season Ticket back minus a £1 administration fee, in the form of a refund back to a bank account of your choice. Your refund will be processed within 10 working days from the fixture date.
My seat has sold, am I guaranteed a refund?
You will only be issued a refund if your ticket is sold and remains sold until kick off for the fixture in question. In line with the club’s refund policy a ticket can still be refunded, and therefore there may be a rare case when your seat has been resold but returned prior to kick off. If your seat, then remains unsold you would not receive a refund.
How do I put my ticket up for sale?
- Step one: Login to the website with your Supporter ID which is on your season card.
- Step two: Navigate to your Personal Details tab.
- Step three: Under the ‘Ticket Resale’ heading click on the ‘SELL TICKETS’ button - this will then list the games and seats available for resale.
- Step four: Select the seat(s) that you would like to put up for resale by ticking the relevant box and then clicking ‘CONTINUE’.
- Step five: Another window will pop up which will confirm which seats you have selected. Please enter the relevant bank account that you would like the 1/19th minus a £1 administration fee to go back to and click ‘OK’. If this is your first time, then please click ‘ADD PAYMENT DETAILS’ to enter your details. Please ensure these details are entered carefully.
- Step six: This will then put that seat up for resale and available for another supporter to purchase when the Club opts to release those seats for sale. Please note – it is at the Club’s discretion as to when these seats are released for sale for fellow supporters.
How can I remove my seat from the platform if I no longer wish to sell?
- Step one: Login to the website with your Supporter ID which is on your season card.

Who can sell tickets via the Ticket Resale platform?

Can I put friends and families' tickets up for resale?
By having someone on your Friends & Family regardless of the relationship type, this does not grant you the access to put their seat up for resale. You will only see seats you pay for available for resale. This would include any Junior tickets you pay for.
How many times a season can I sell my ticket?
You can resell your ticket as many times as you wish to during the course of the season. A review on this will take place at the end of the season.
What if I change my mind and want the ticket back?
If you’ve put your Season Ticket seat(s) up for resale, you can remove it any time if it has not yet been sold. If the ticket has already been sold, you will be unable to claim it back for that game, but you can purchase another ticket through the ticketing website if there is availability.
What if nobody buys my ticket? Do I still get my 1/19th back?
No. Your ticket must be purchased by another supporter and remain sold for you to receive your 1/19th of your Season Ticket value minus a £1 administration fee back. Otherwise, you do not receive anything back.
Does my 1/19th come as credit, or do I get the money back?
When making your seat(s) available on the Ticket Resale platform, you will be asked to securely enter the account details (sort code, account number and account name) of the bank account into which you would like your refund to be paid.
