Sone Aluko has announced his retirement from professional football.
Joining the Club in August 2021, Sone went on to make more than 50 appearances for the Blues and played a key role in promotion to the Championship, and, this season, promotion to the Premier League.
The former Nigerian international has been a driving force at the Club's training ground, setting the standard in training and working closely with both the first-team group and coaches and staff.
Before arriving at Portman Road, Sone represented Aberdeen, Rangers, Hull City, Fulham and others in an illustrious career that has seen him win promotion to the top flight on multiple occasions, and earn a runners-up medal in the FA Cup.
Speaking at this evening's End of Season Dinner, the forward said: "I couldn't think of a better place to end my career.
"From top to bottom the Club is amazing, and it has been a privilege to be here. I've not played as much as I would have liked, but this has still been the best year of my career.
"All of the lads, I love every one of you, even you, Harry Clarke."
