On Sunday, 20 April, James Rose and Elijah Aldrige, members of Ipswich Town Fans Supporting Foodbanks, will be cycling from Portman Road to the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany, collecting donations for food banks in both cities.
Leaving immediately after the Arsenal game at Portman Road from opposite Planet Blue, they will embark on a near 500km cycle ride to arrive at the Merkur Spiel Arena, in time for Fortuna Düssledorf’s game against 1.FC Nürnberg just six days later.
James and Elijah aim to continue their work in breaking the stigma surrounding deprivation and hope that their challenge will raise awareness around the issues that more than a million people face across the East of England.
Over the last three seasons, the Blue Army has come together to donate nearly 175 full crates of donations and have raised over £15,000 for the Ipswich foodbank FIND.
Supporters who would like to donate to their cause you can do so here.
