Defender Ben Godfrey joined Town on loan from Italian club Atalanta in January 2025 until the end of the season. He made his Premier League debut for the Blues against Manchester City at Portman Road. 

Ben, who has earned two England caps as well as gaining a considerable amount of Premier League experience with Norwich and Everton respectively, enjoyed promotion to the Premier League with Norwich before joining Everton in October 2020. He made a total of 93 appearances for the Toffees, before joining Atalanta ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Internationally, Ben made his England debut against Austria in June 2021 as a substitute before playing the full 90 minutes against Romania under then Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.
