Christian joined the Club on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion in August 2021, before making his move to Portman Road a permanent one the following January. 

The Cornwall-born goalkeeper quickly established himself in the first-team during his first season at Portman Road, before going on to start all 46 league games as Town won promotion to the Championship in 2022/23. 

He played behind a defence which kept 23 clean sheets in League One, earning him the second Golden Glove of his career, having previously done so while with former club Wigan Athletic. 

As well as the Latics, Christian has previously spent time with Bury, Luton, Southend, and Blackburn on loan from Brighton, having originally joined Albion from boyhood club Plymouth after coming through the Argyle youth system. 

He has represented England at U19, U20 and U21 level, and wears the number one shirt for Town.
