Issa Diop joined the club from Fulham on a four-year deal until 2030.

The Moroccan defender played in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, playing in all five of his team’s fixtures as they reached the last eight, including scoring against the Netherlands.

Issa brings a wealth of experience at Premier League level, having featured 173 times in the league, with West Ham and Fulham.

The centre half made his debut against Sunderland, as Town beat the Black Cats 2-1 at Portman Road.
