The experienced attacker quickly became an important member of the squad after signing on a free transfer in the summer of 2021. 

He initially signed a one-year deal, with the club exercising its option to extend his stay for a further year following an impressive first campaign in 2021/22. 

Sone’s first Town goals came as he netted a brace at Cambridge in October of 2021, with another coming just a few days later in a 4-0 victory at Portsmouth. 

He made 19 appearances during Town’s promotion season in 2022/23, with his experience on the pitch and hugely positive impact off it seeing him rewarded with a new one-year contract ahead of Town’s return to the Championship. 

During his career, Sone has played and scored in an Old Firm game during his time in Glasgow with Rangers, while he has featured in an FA Cup final while a Hull City player.
