Town completed the loan signing of Tyreeq Bakinson in January 2022.
Born in Camden, Tyreeq began his development with Luton Town aged 10, and penned a professional contract at the club in 2015.
The midfielder made his debut for Luton away to Exeter City in May 2016, and joined Bristol City for an undisclosed fee in August 2017. He made his debut for the Robins as a second-half substitute against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.
He spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Newport County, making 42 appearances and finding the back of the net once in all competitions as the Exiles reached the League Two play-off final before losing out to Tranmere at Wembley.
Another League Two loan spell came in the following campaign, joining Plymouth in January before the Devon outfit were promoted on a points-per-game basis due to the 2019/20 season being curtailed amid the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Having returned to his parent club, the powerful and athletic midfielder went on to make 33 starts and a further 19 appearances from the bench between the 2020/21 season and this term to date, with many of those coming in the Championship.
On 20 January 2022, Tyreeq penned a loan deal at Town until the end of the season.
He wears the number 12 shirt for the Blues, and scored his first goal for the Club in a 1-0 victory away to Doncaster in February 2022.
