George Edmundson joined the Blues for an undisclosed fee from Rangers in July 2021.

The centre-half penned a four-year deal at Town, keeping him at the Club until the summer of 2025.

He spent four seasons with Latics as a member of the senior squad and earned a spot in the EFL League Two team of the season after impressing in his final campaign at Boundary Park.

In June 2019 he joined Rangers and in February of that season he scored his first goal for the club when he netted in a 2-1 win over Hibernian at Ibrox.

A year later, and with Europa League experience to his name, he joined Derby County on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign.

George made 10 Championship appearances for The Rams and scored on just his second start for the club when he headed in against Huddersfield at Pride Park.

On his move to Town he said: "I spoke to the gaffer and it really excited me. He was a massive pull and this is also a huge club."

George wears the number five shirt for the Blues.
