Blues loanee thanks the Town faithful as he plays his final Portman Road game of his loan deal
Tom Lawrence has thanked the supporters for their backing as he played his final Portman Road game of his season-long loan from Leicester.
He played just over an hour as the Blues fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon before being substituted with an ankle injury.
"Since I've come here the fans have been great with me," the attacker told Ipswich Player HD.
"Hopefully I've repaid them with a few of the goals I've scored, and the reception was a nice touch from them.
"As a team, the season didn't quite go to plan, but on a personal level it's been a good season from me. I've learned and progressed a lot.
"I'd say it's been the best season of my career by a distance, it's the first time I've been at a club for a full season which has helped as well.
"I don't know what the future holds, but I'm sure it'll be an interesting summer for me."
