Town striker holds his nerve to see off his team-mates at annual darts fundraising event

Freddie Sears came out on top in the Town players' 'nine dart challenge' for the second year running at last night's ITFC darts night at Greshams Ipswich.

The striker was up against his team-mates: Cole Skuse, Brett Pitman, Kieffer Moore, Jonny Williams, and Harry Wright, and emerged victorious having scored the highest number of points after throwing nine darts.

The fundraising event, which was hosted by Simon Milton to promote, and raise money for the Academy, also seen Town's managing director, Ian Milne and BBC Radio Suffolk's Mark Murphy step up to the oche for a challenge against each other.

Darts legends, and Blues fans, Keith Deller and Kevin Painter were also in attendance at the annual event, as was the voice of darts, Russ Bray with, Ballistic, a local group of dance students, assisting in the fundraising with a performance in front of the 200-strong crowd.

Academy sponsors also had the opportunity to chance their arm against each other, but it was Freddie who took the acclaim as he saw off his fellow Town players to reaffirm his place as the top darts player at the Club.
