Young striker pens professional deal at Portman Road
Town youngster, Jack Lankester has put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract with the Blues.
The 18-year old striker has signed a two-year deal at Portman Road, keeping him at the Club until 2020.
Having made his way through the youth ranks at Town, Jack made two appearances for the first-team in pre-season having impressed Paul Hurst as he came on as a substitute in the friendlies against MK Dons and West Ham United.
He was a regular scorer for the U18s last year, netting 12 times including a brace against Dagenham in the FA Youth Cup win at Portman Road in January, before heading out on loan to Bury Town.
His form earned him a place in the U23s towards the end of the 2017/18 campaign, and he scored in each of the last three games including a late winner against Bolton Wanderers at Portman Road in April.
