Chappers chats to Francine and Robson about LGBTQ+ experiences
Conor Chaplin was at Portman Road on Friday afternoon to meet Rainbow Tractors members, Francine Flisher and Robson Trench.
Rainbow Tractors is the LGBTQ+ supporters group for Town fans, with Francine running the group since its relaunch in March earlier this year.
Conor came in for a chat about the importance of LGBTQ+ awareness and inclusion in football, with Francine and Robson sharing some of their thoughts on what it is like to be a LGBTQ+ supporter of the Club.
The meet-up was organised in line with the Rainbow Laces campaign, with the Club's designated fixture the visit of Crewe Alexandra tomorrow afternoon.
Rainbow Laces aims to promote equality and inclusivity within sport for LGBTQ+ people and tackle discrimination on every level to help ‘make sport everyone’s game’. This year’s campaign is encouraging people to ‘Lace Up and Speak Up’, emphasising the importance of holding open conversations in support of LGBTQ+ communities.
Rainbow Tractors will also be present in the FanZone before tomorrow's game, should supporters wish to learn more about the group.
