Deadline day recruit set for Blues bow

Sam Morsy looks set to be one of the first names on the team sheet when Town host West Ham U21 in the Papa John’s Trophy tomorrow night.

The midfielder, who was suspended for Saturday's game against Bolton, will also miss the weekend's trip to Lincoln and fixture against Sheffield Wednesday seven days later, but is eligible to feature against the young Hammers.

When asked if the Club's latest recruit will make his debut on Tuesday night, Paul Cook said: "Yes, 100%.

"The team is already picked, and it’s a very strong team. The most important thing is that we have a strong squad of lads that need minutes."

With a quick turnaround from Saturday’s disappointing result against Bolton, Paul insists his plans for the Papa John's Trophy tie won’t be changed.

"Saturday won’t affect my team selection. We haven’t won this season, we know we have to get a win to get up and running for our supporters.

"Whatever competition we play in, winning is a habit - and it’s a habit we haven’t got at the minute - so Tuesday night becomes a really important game."

Tickets for Tuesday night's match are available to purchase here and are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for seniors/U23 and £3 for U19.

All transactions are subject to a £1.50 booking fee per ticket.
