Town welcome Wigan Athletic to Portman Road tonight, and the below guide takes you through all you need to know, if attending.

Following yesterday's results, Town now sit in eleventh position, while the Latics are chasing a return to the Championship.

Leam Richardson's side suffered a home defeat to Cambridge United on Saturday, and their wait to seal promotion goes on.

The below guide takes you through all you need to know ahead of tomorrow's match:


Just over 20,000 tickets have already been sold. Ticket sales will run up until kick-off. They can be purchased on the day online via or from the matchday ticket office on Constantine Road from 5pm.

Tomorrow's match is an exclusive offer for season ticket holders, who can purchase up to two additional tickets at a heavily discounted rate. Adult tickets are just £10. 

No on-the-day sales will take place in Planet Blue, with supporters are encouraged to buy their tickets online and in advance of the match.

You will have a recommended entry time on your match ticket, please try and stick to this time as this will help with the flow of supporters. These are only a guide, though, and you will not be denied entry if you miss your slot.

Season ticket holders will not have an allocated entry time, but are still strongly advised to arrive in plenty to time.

The away ticket office on Portman Road will be open from 5.30pm for any ticketing enquiries, while the disabled entrance on Constantine Road will open from midday.

Mobile friendly turnstiles

Supporters with print at home or mobile tickets can scan them through the below turnstiles tomorrow afternoon. Season ticket holders and phyiscal ticket holders can also scan through these turnstiles.

Sir Alf Ramsey Stand – 4,5,6 & 59

Cobbold Stand– 18, 20 & 21

Sir Bobby Robson Stand – 33, 34 & 35

Magnus Group West Stand – 43, 44 & 57


Covid passes are no longer a condition of entry. The Club encourages the use of face coverings in indoor areas such as concourses and toilets.

We also encourage supporters to stay at home if they are suffering from Covid-19 symptoms.

Please maintain good hand hygiene at all times around the stadium. Use the sanitiser dispensers provided and avoid touching your face, or handles and railings whenever possible.

There will be no lateral flow testing centre in Alderman Park going forwards.


The FanZone will be open at 5.30pm tomorrow. 

Entrance is through Gate 1A on Sir Alf Ramsey Way with a valid match ticket. All home fans are welcome. 

Supporters who sit in the West Stand are now able to scan through turnstile 57 & 58 into the FanZone and then access the West Stand through the double gate opposite the conferencing & hospitality entrance as opposed to exiting the FanZone and queuing up for the turnstiles.

How to follow

Planet Blue
Open from 10am until kick-off and open for 30 minutes after the full-time whistle.

Planet Blue retail unit in FanZone will be open alongside Planet Bluey in the Magnus Group West Stand.

Matchday Programme
The matchday programme will be available to purchase at Planet Blue, or from the blue kiosks dotted around the stadium. Sone Aluko is the feature interview in tomorrow's edition which costs £3.50.

Around Portman Road
Flower beds have been installed at Princes Street end of Portman Road, meaning that supporters parking in the NCP Portman Road car park will need to either turn right towards Handford Road or go straight over down Sir Alf Ramsey Way.

Last time out

Town and Wigan played out a 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium earlier this season under John McGreal. James Norwood's strike cancelled out Callum Lang's opener for the Latics.
